Welcome to
The Center to End Corporate Jargon
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to revolutionize workplace communication by promoting clarity, simplicity, and authenticity. We are dedicated to ending the use of confusing and unnecessary jargon that stops effective communication and collaboration.
Our ultimate goal is to create a world where every message is clear, egvery voice is heard, and every interaction is meaningful.
OUR STORY
The year was 1975. Three colleagues—Joseph, Kathryn, and Jaclyn—were working at Consolidated Industries, a leading provider of business. Each day in meetings they heard terms like, “synergy,” “Paradigm shift,” “core Competencies,” and “Fondue Happy Hour.” That last one was fine. But the rest were SO confusing. They felt disconnected from their work and each other.
They started hosting workshops for their colleagues and creating training materials until one day, President Gerald Ford called! It was just to say hi and completely unrelated. They continued on with their work and throughout the 1980s, the Center to End Corporate Jargon grew into almost a non-profit, offering a wide range of programs and resources. Today they host workshops at Fortune 20,000 companies, start-ups, and improv classes, and hope to inspire a new generation of communicators to embrace the power of plain language.

Circle Back
Sometimes I’ve circled back SO much I’ve gotten dizzy and fallen into the fax machine.
Double click
Nope. No.
SWIM LANE
Only for the Olympics thanks.
Bandwidth
Unless I have become a full-spectrum internet service without knowing, I do not have bandwidth.
Fighting Fires
Honestly, fire fighters are heroes not me in my Herman Miller chair.
The D
It’s okay we can just say decision. We don’t need a 1-letter acronym. We can do it, everyone!
